- Autism: a lifelong, non-progressive neurological disorder typically appearing before the age of 3 years
- Mental retardation: It refers to substantial limitation in present functioning. It starts before the age of 18 years in a person.
- Cerebral palsy: an abnormality of motor function that is acquired at an early age, usually less than 1 year.
- Down syndrome: a genetic disorder condition in which a child is born with an extra copy of the 21st chromosome. Hence it casues developmental delays and disabilities.
