Learning Centre for Children with Special Needs

Learning Centre for Children with Special Needs

Started in 2020, the Centre supports children with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Down Syndrome, and Intellectual Disabilities through personalized academic programs, pre-vocational skills along with Speech, Physio and occupational therapies to enhance their fitness, mobility, communication and socialization skills.

Activities include sports, sensory play, painting, and outings to promote learning beyond the classroom. Children participate in celebrations of festivals and national days to build social connection. Uniforms, educational aids, assistive devices and medical support are provided. Parents receive counselling, health orientation, and support in accessing government schemes. Mathru works closely with families to ensure each child grows with confidence, dignity, and life skills

Nakshatra

Journey at Mathru Learning Centre

Nakshatra, a child with multiple disabilities, joined Mathru Learning Centre for Children with Special Needs in 2022. When Nakshatra first came to us, she faced significant challenges in physical activities, social interaction, speech, and academic development. At Mathru, we immediately began providing her with personalized support, including physiotherapy, speech therapy, and foundational academic training.
Thanks to the dedicated efforts of our special educators and therapists, Nakshatra has made remarkable progress. She is now able to write alphabets and numbers and has shown significant improvement in her daily living skills. She can walk with support and is actively participating in her learning journey. Her parents are delighted with her development and deeply appreciative of the care and support she has received at Mathru Learning Centre.
